The hind base of the White comes from the Garrets herd in tauranga. Going back to those imported from Danish Royal Park. 20 Mixed age hinds were purchased in fawn 2016. 9 came out White.

The following year those hinds were mated to Tokomarus Big Red - purchesed from Love Red Deer in Rotorua. He was used for several years before going hunting. Eros was one of the stags born from the mating of Big Red over the original Garrett hinds.
Since then Aaron has mated white with white and getting an exciting mix of stags and antler styles very sought after by the trophy parks.
This years (2023) mating of 20 Red Hinds from an unrelated herd by Sire Eros has highlighted just how stong they are of passing on White. As of 15 December 2023 from the 18 fawns we saw in the paddock 10 are white. That is very exciting for any breeder. Just think of your own hind base, then think white.
