In his prime “Harvey” grew the heaviest velvet for age for any New Zealand Red Stag at ages 6, 7 and 9 years. In 1999 “Harvey” was the Supreme Champion of the National Velvet Competition, with a head weighing 11.59kg @ 9 years. Only grandson Austin has beaten that.
A grandson of “Harvey”, “Austin”, has won the National Velvet Competition with a head of 10.86kg S.A.V. at only 6 years of age.
