Banks was a Warnham stag with a whisker of Woburn bloodline. Rated as one of the top English EBV sires for growth rate. Probably one of the best known stags in the country, Banks equalled the highest price ever paid for a stag sold at public auction. He is a highly heritable stag, with just about all his progeny good enough to be sold as young sires. Lost to a chronic foot infection due to a barbary hedge thorn, Banks has left his legacy with daughters that have been retained in the Sarnia herd. One can only guess as to where his antler would have finished but well over 500 Inches is a certainty. Limited semen is available and with a regular AI programme in place a few of his progeny are available most years.
