Britain was retired in 2016, and while he was purchased for attributes in orthodox
velvet, his top line background gave him a respectable 585 SCI score. There
are some interesting examples of his genetics showing in this years three year
olds

In the winter of 2013, Nita and I purchased a boutique Warnham Hind herd, including Britain from Dave Smith in Ashburton. Britains 2yr stag offspring, averaging 4 kgs of velvet. The opportunity attracted us on the strength of the velvet records of Britain’s total 2012 2yr stag offspring, averaging 4 kgs of velvet. The architecture of Britain’s antlers reflect a non messy classic orthodox style to velvet cutting stage with 29 very good, clean, open royal tynes above. A major point of interest is that Britain’s Dam 99-37 is by Clive, a full brother to Hotspurs Dam 95-087, and 99-37’s Dam 95-089 is also a full sister to Hotspurs Dam, 95-087. Given that Clives latest comments on hind 95-087 as ‘N0 1 hind at Stanfield’, where does this place Britain with a double shot of the same blood in his Dam!!
